Retaining Virender Sehwag in their team, Delhi Daredevils has brought the Kochi Tuskers Kerala Captain Mahela Jayawardene into the team for 1.4 million dollars.This took place in the auction at 4th of February.This man is now appointed as the new Vice Captain of the team.
It is confirmed by the team owner, Sekar.He said that "We are making the team to get mould into special shape and already an experienced player, Sehwag is playing in the side and he will be supported by Jayawardene as he has also a good amount of experience as a captain of a team.The management haves a huge hope on them and its their duty to fulfil it.They will surely fulfil it by giving us the cup this time".
Sehwag said that "I am happy about the Vice Captain post of Jayawardene.He would rectify me in the field too as he was also a captain of the side in the last edition and this man is been believed for his good comeback in the games he play.We have added yet another fighting and a good finisher of the games to our squad.We are pleased about the management decision and I have contacted Mahi and said my hearty congratulations to him".
Jayawardene handed over the Captaincy post of the Sri Lanakn team after they lost the World Cup.Now he is again back as a captain in the ODI series.He was the captain of Kochi Tuskers Kerala.As some problems arise regarding the ownership issue, the team was terminated and finally Delhi Daredevils took him in the auction.Hope this is the double treat for him.
